Injuries We Handle
Every injury is different. Whether yours is a soft tissue injury that will not settle or a catastrophic injury that changes everything, we tailor our approach to you.
Some injuries heal in weeks. Others reshape the rest of a life. Both deserve to be taken seriously, because both can involve benefits, deadlines, and decisions that are easy to get wrong without guidance. Whatever you are dealing with, from stubborn whiplash to a spinal cord injury, the starting point is the same. Understand your injury, document it well, and make sure the support you claim matches what your recovery actually needs.
Soft tissue injuries like whiplash are among the most common we see, and among the most underestimated. They do not show up on an x-ray, and they can linger long after everyone around you expects you to be better. Sprains, strains, and chronic pain conditions are real injuries with real effects on work and family life. Consistent treatment and honest symptom reporting are what keep them from being dismissed.
At the other end of the range are brain injuries, spinal injuries, and serious fractures, which can involve surgery, long rehabilitation, and in some cases lifelong care. For crashes covered by ICBC's Enhanced Care, greater support exists for serious and catastrophic injuries, including care benefits and permanent impairment benefits. Making sure the injury is properly assessed is central to receiving that support, and we help with exactly that.
You do not need to know which category your injury fits before reaching out. Tell us what happened and what your days look like now, and we will explain what benefits and claims may apply, whether your injury came from a crash, a fall, or something else. Your first case evaluation is free, with no obligation, and it usually brings more clarity than weeks of worrying alone.

Common questions
My injury seemed minor at first. Does that matter?
Not necessarily. Many injuries worsen or reveal themselves over time, including whiplash and concussion. What matters is seeing a doctor early, reporting symptoms honestly as they develop, and keeping a simple record. That protects your health first and keeps your claim accurate if your recovery turns out longer than expected.
Who pays for my treatment?
After a motor vehicle crash in BC, Enhanced Care benefits cover many treatment costs, including physiotherapy and counselling, regardless of who caused the crash. For injuries outside the ICBC system, such as falls on property, treatment costs can form part of a negligence claim. We help you understand which applies to you.
Are psychological injuries covered too?
They can be. Anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress after an accident are recognized injuries, and treatment such as counselling can be claimed under Enhanced Care after a crash. Tell your doctor how you are feeling, not just where you hurt. Your mental health is part of your recovery, not separate from it.
What if my pain does not go away?
Chronic pain is real and more common than people think. Keep treating, keep reporting, and do not let anyone rush you into saying you have recovered. Benefits are tied to your actual condition, so ongoing documentation matters. If ICBC cuts support while you are still hurting, that decision can be challenged.
Do different injuries have different deadlines?
The deadlines depend more on how you were injured than on the injury type. Crash claims and fall claims follow different rules, and some situations, like claims involving cities, carry very short notice periods. The safest approach is to get advice early so every deadline in your situation is identified and protected.
How do I know if my injury is serious enough to call a lawyer?
There is no threshold you need to meet. If your injury is affecting your work, your family, or your daily life, it is worth a conversation. The case evaluation is free, and we will tell you honestly if you do not need us. Many people simply leave with peace of mind.

Tell us about your injury
No pressure and no obligation. Just a clear conversation about where you stand and what comes next.
